The musician was born Jonathan Michael Batiste on November 11, 1986, in Metairie, Louisiana, the U.S. From a line of famous musicians, he was born to Michael Batiste who was also a musician alongside all his siblings.
Since all his uncles were Jazz Musicians, music became a natural thing for Jon since he was a child. He revealed that many of his cousins are also Jazz Musicians.
Growing up in Kenner, Louisiana, Jon was already playing percussion and drums in his family band. When he was 11, he decided to start learning and playing the piano after his mother advised him. With a musical career that is amazing, he has been part of a member of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’s in-house band since 2015 together with Stay Human. He has won many awards in his career thus far including the Academy Awards, Critics’ Choice Movie Awards, British Academy Film Awards, and Golden Globes among others. Also, he has two Grammy nominations to his name.

Suleika was born on July 5, 1988, in New York City, U.S. which is also where she was brought up. She is of African descent as while her mother is from Switzerland, her father is from Tunisia. She got her education from Princeton University before traveling to North Africa to further her education in Morocco, Tunisia, and Egypt.
In 2020, she published her first book, Between Two Kingdoms.
Suleika Jaouad Is A Cancer Survivor
When she was 22 years old, Suleika was diagnosed with Cancer. Although it took a toll on her, both physically and emotionally, she had the better side of it after undergoing a successful marrow transplant surgery in 2012.
She was told by doctors at the time that she only had a 35% chance of surviving the diagnosis. However, with a strong will and the support of her boyfriend, she came out atop.
